The Who Moving On 2019 Tour

Legendary rockers The Who will embark on a 29-city tour this summer and fall. The Who’s Moving On! Tour will find the band complemented by orchestras and comes as the group prepares to release their first album of new songs since 2006.

Founding members Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend will be joined by guitarist/backing singer Simon Townshend, keyboardist Loren Gold, bassist Jon Button and drummer Zak Starkey as well as “some of the best orchestras in the U.S. & Canada.” Townshend hinted at what’s ahead, “The Who are touring again in 2019. Roger christened this tour Moving On! I love it. It is what both of us want to do. Move on, with new music, classic Who music, all performed in new and exciting ways. Taking risks, nothing to lose. Looking forward to seeing you all. Are you ready?” Daltrey added, “Be aware Who fans! Just because it’s The Who with an orchestra, in no way will it compromise the way Pete and I deliver our music. This will be full throttle Who with horns and bells on.”

The Who’s summer jaunt spans May 7 – June 1 and includes stops in Grand Rapids, Buffalo, Bristow (Virginia), New York City, Nashville, Noblesville (Indiana), Chicago, Maryland Heights (Missouri), Philadelphia, Detroit, Pittsburgh and Toronto. Daltrey and Townshend then lead the group back on the road this fall starting on September 6 in St. Paul, Minnesota. The Who then makes stops in Wisconsin, Ohio, Massachusetts and New York ahead of performances in Atlanta, Ft. Lauderdale, Tampa, Houston, Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Vancouver and Edmonton.
